Marianne Knight

Board Member 

A resident of Dunnville, ON, Mrs. Knight joins the LHIN board having recently completed her Masters of Science in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University, NY. She worked most recently at Surrey Place Centre, a Toronto based non-profit organization that helps children and adults living with developmental disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder reach their full potential. There, she served as Director of Information and Communication Technology for 10 years.

In addition to her strong background in Information Technology (IT), Mrs. Knight also brings with her significant experience in health system planning, operations and administration. She has consulted on a number of projects including with Women’s College Hospital in Toronto and completed an operational review of Durham Region Attendant Care – now Personal Attendant Care Inc. – on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. She served as the inaugural Board Chair for the Haliburton, Northumberland & County Community Care Access Centre, now Central East LHIN, and worked previously as an Elder Abuse Coordinator at Victoria County Community Care and at Durham Region Community Centre as a Home Support Administrator.

Mrs. Knight holds an MBA with an Information Systems designation from McMaster University, a Certificate in Gerontology from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labour Relations from Cornell University, NY.
