Shelley Monetta

Working with hospitals of all specialties and sizes across Ontario, Mrs. Moneta has built relationships and implemented programs that have led to the adoption of leading practices and enhanced outcomes. Before retiring, she served as General Manager of Supply Chain at Mohawk Shared Services where she was responsible for the development of collaborative procurement and logistics services for 17 member hospital corporations. She also worked for more than 25 years at Hamilton Health Sciences serving in a variety of leadership level positions, including Director of Integrated Corporate Services and Provincial Director of CritiCall, which is Ontario’s emergency consultation and referral service for physicians. As CritiCall’s founding Director, she led the program from its inception as a small regional service to an integral province-wide resource serving all 150 hospitals in Ontario. Given her significant expertise, she has been appointed to numerous committees, taskforces and advisory groups at the local, regional, provincial and national level.

In addition to her background in health care management and leadership, Mrs. Moneta is an active member of the community having worked with a number of local charitable and not-for-profit groups. These include serving as a board member with Disabled and Aged Regional Transit Service (DARTs) and the Healthcare Supply Chain Network, as well as volunteering as a neighbourhood canvasser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Mrs. Moneta holds a Masters in Business Administration and Graduate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University and is currently enrolled in the Chartered Director program through the Conference Board of Canada and DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University’s Directors College.
