Bill Thompson is a Grimsby resident and retired chartered accountant, who brings with him extensive experience across a variety of sectors including health care, and the food and local wine industry. Mr. Thompson served as Senior Financial Officer at Hamilton Health Sciences until 2012 and prior to that had held senior financial roles with TMF Food (Stoney Creek) and Vineland Estates Winery (Vineland).
In addition to his financial background, Mr. Thompson is very involved with his community and is currently Chairman of the Grimsby Museum, and a Director of the Halton County Radial Railway Museum. During his career Mr. Thompson has served on many community organizations including Past President of the Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce, Director with the St. Catharines Grape & Wine Festival and President of the Niagara Falls Red Cross. From 1977 to 1980 Mr. Thompson also served as a Town of Grimsby alderman.
